VENUE POLICIES: A-Z

We are committed to providing you with a fun, entertaining and safe visit to our venues.  In order to achieve this, the following policies and procedures will be in place for all events.

Please note that certain shows and performances may require tighter security restrictions.  These requirements will vary by show.  The following policies and procedures should be considered the minimum requirements for each event.

 

A

Accessible Parking:

Accessible parking is available on a limited basis in parking lots nearest the UNI-Dome and McLeod Center.  Valid parking credentials are required.

Accessible Seating:

Limited accessible seating is available, including seating for 4 (four) accompaniments.  Please request these seats when purchasing your tickets.

Advanced Tickets:

Tickets may be purchased in advance by visiting the UNItix box office during business hours, online at unipanthers.com, or by calling 319-273-4849.

Age:

For all UNI Athletics events, all children age 2 and above must possess a game ticket.  Children under 2 are considered “child in arms,” and must sit on the lap of an adult, and may not sit in a ticketed seat without a game ticket.  For other shows/events, age requirements may vary.  Please inquire when purchasing tickets.

Alcoholic Beverages:

Patrons are allowed to consume alcoholic beverages purchased from inside the UNI-Dome and McLeod Center.  Alcoholic beverages must be purchased and consumed legally and responsibly, in accordance with event-specific policies.

Animals:

Animals, including emotional support animals, are not permitted inside the UNI-Dome and McLeod Center.  Service animals are permitted.

ATM:

There is an ATM located inside the southwest entrance of the UNI-Dome and on the west concourse of the McLeod Center.  For larger events, additional ATMs may be located throughout the venues.  Patrons must have a valid game/event ticket to access these machines.

Bags:

Bags larger than 13”x15”x6” will not be permitted inside the UNI-Dome.  All bags will be subject to search.

Cameras:

Still cameras are allowed inside the UNI-Dome and McLeod Center.  Professional cameras with lenses longer than 6" and video cameras are prohibited.

Concessions:

Concession stands are located on each concourse throughout the venue.  Cash and all major credit cards are accepted.

Credit Cards:

All major credit cards are accepted inside the UNI-Dome and McLeod Center.

Doors Open:

Doors will be open for admission to each UNI Football game 90 minutes prior to the start time.  For all other UNI Athletics events, doors will open 60 minutes prior to the start time.  For all other shows/events, door open times will vary.  Please inquire when purchasing your event tickets.

Ejection:

UNI Athletics reserves the right to eject any patron(s) found violating venue policies, or participating in behavior that is considered unsportsmanlike, unruly, or illegal.  Tickets will be collected without refund, and the   patron(s) will be escorted from the stadium by event staff and/or a police officer(s).

Emergency Paging:

Paging will only be allowed in circumstances deemed as an emergency by event personnel.  To request an emergency page, contact an event staff member.

Fan Code of Conduct:

UNI Athletics is committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for all fans, both inside the stadium and in the parking lot. We want all fans attending our events to enjoy the experience in a responsible fashion. When attending an event, you are required to refrain from the following behaviors:

¨ Behavior that is unruly, disruptive, or illegal in nature.

¨ Intoxication or other signs of alcohol impairment that results in irresponsible behavior.

¨ Foul or abusive language or obscene gestures.

¨ Interference with the progress of the game/event (including throwing objects onto the field/stage).

¨ Failing to follow instructions of stadium personnel.

¨ Verbal or physical harassment of other fans.

Event patrons are responsible for their conduct, as well as the conduct of their guests or persons occupying their seats. Stadium staff will promptly intervene to support an environment where event patrons, their guests, and other fans can enjoy the event free from the above behavior. Event patrons and guests who violate these provisions will be subject to ejection without refund, and loss of ticket privileges for future games/events. 

First Aid:

Fans in need of First Aid should alert nearest Event Staff member, or visit the First Aid Station, located near the northeast concourse inside the UNI-Dome and the northwest concourse inside the McLeod Center.

Food & Beverage:

Outside food and beverages are not permitted inside the venues.  Concessions stands are open throughout the game/event for your convenience. Empty water bottles are permitted.

Group Sales:

For UNI Athletics events, group discounts are offered by advanced purchases only.  To purchase group seating, please call 319-273-5411.  For all other shows/events, group sales will vary.  Please contact the ticket office with questions regarding group sales purchases.

Lost Children:

If your child is lost, please alert the nearest Event Staff member and/or police officer.

Lost/Found Items:

Items may be turned into any Event Staff member.  To inquire about lost items, please contact UNItix at  319-273-4849.

Lost/Stolen Tickets:

Please contact the ticket office regarding lost or stolen tickets.

Media Personnel:

For UNI Athletics events, members of the media must have valid credentials displayed to enter the venues and designated media areas.  Media credentials must be requested in advance.

Merchandise:

In the UNI-Dome, the merchandise stand is located on the north concourse under the scoreboard.  In the McLeod Center, the merchandise stand is located on the northwest concourse.  For events other than UNI Athletics events, additional merchandise stands may be added.

Non-Smoking Policy:

The University of Northern Iowa is a smoke free campus.  Smoking is prohibited on any campus property.

Nursing Room:

In the UNI-Dome, a nursing room is located behind sections Q/R.  In the McLeod Center, a nursing area is provided on the northeast concourse.

Parking:

For UNI Athletics events, parking is reserved in lots nearest the UNI-Dome for qualifying Panther Scholarship Club (PSC) members.  For further information on PSC or PSC Priority Parking, please call 319-273-6443.  Public parking is available on the west side of Hudson Road.  For UNI Football, all lots open 6 hours prior to kickoff.

 

Public parking for events other than UNI Athletics events is available on the west side of Hudson Road, and will vary by event.  Charges will also vary by event.

Items prohibited from being brought inside the venues include, but are not limited to:

Refunds/Exchanges:

There are no refunds or exchanges.  All sales are final.

Re-Entry:

Re-entry is not permitted for any event.

Resale of Event Tickets:

Tickets may not be resold ,for any price, on premises.  UNI Athletics is not responsible for invalid tickets purchased from a third party.

See Something, Say Something:

If you see suspicious activity, please report it to the nearest venue staff or law enforcement. 

Suspicious circumstances/activities include but are not limited to:

¨ Backpack, suitcase, briefcase or package left behind or unattended
¨ Strangers asking questions about structures or security procedures
¨ Unusual chemical smells, fumes or smoke that worry you
¨ Unauthorized cars, vans or trucks left in no-parking zones near important buildings
¨ Overheard threatening conversations discussing violence, bombs, guns, etc.
¨ Guests taking pictures of unusual things such as fuel storage, utilities, secure areas, and ID badges

Stadium Emergencies:

In the event of an emergency, event staff, law enforcement, and other emergency teams will be available to assist all patrons, including those with disabilities.
